Kayla and Jon - Colonial Pines 6/17/17 - Lewisburg, PA

This was truly one of the most beautiful wedding days I have ever photographed! From a gorgeous couple, to a perfect venue, to absolutely amazing details - the clouds even parted just in time for a sunset! This was also my first trip to Colonial Pines and I was not disappointed. Congratulations Kayla and Jon!

Kristen and Patrick - Al Mia Amore - Scranton, PA Wedding

Yesterday was an absolutely picture perfect day for a wedding! Kristen and Patrick's day started out at Mary Mother of God parish in Scranton and then we traveled to Blakeslee Borough Recreational Park for pictures. The clouds were there in all the right places for us to take pictures! The celebration continued at Al Mia amore in Dickson City and what a party it was! You can tell this couple is really loved and adored by their family and friends! Here is the first sneak peek of their big day!

Shoot and Share photo contest

For the second year in a row I participated in the Shoot and Share photo contest. My goal this year was a simple one. I wanted to do better than I did last year. They allow you to enter up to 50 photos in 25 different categories. This year the majority of my work was in engagements and weddings but in last year's contest I had some more family and styled work. I did pretty well last year - 3 of my photos finished in the top percentile of their category. I had 1 in the top 30%, 1 in top 20% and 1 in the top 10% - which out of hundreds of thousands of entries, is pretty good. This year, I was hoping to get some additional "likes" on my photos and maybe have some more place in the top percentile. At least one of my photos however, made it ALL THE WAY! I was able to locate one photo in the final rounds of the contest but they don't tell you how you did overall until all the results are tallied and winners have been announced on March 20th. I know that at a minimum I'm a finalist which means out of over 330,000 entries, one of my photos was in the top 500 photos in it's category!!! I am so unbelievably excited and humbled. I started this business a mere 3 years ago after not picking up my camera in an artistic way in years. I've worked hard, harder than anyone knows to grow and learn and turn my business into something I would be proud of. So this right here, this makes me feel like that work is worth it! I've watched my work improve and my client base grow over 3 years and have impressed myself in ways that I didn't think were possible. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in this journey. I have appreciated you more than you know.

Kelly and Mike - Poconos Wedding

What a perfect day we had for Mike and Kelly's Poconos wedding! I had never been to Arrow Head Lake prior to this wedding, but the venue and scenery couldn't have been more perfect! This couple has known each other since middle school and it was pretty easy to tell that they were meant to be together. I truly adored this day and these photos and I hope they do too!

Susie and Syon - Pump House Wedding

So I have to admit, this was my first ever German/Indian wedding. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was excited! And this two day wedding weekend did NOT disappoint. Day 1 was full of amazing details and of course lots of love! Everything about the day was beautiful - from the decor to the couple and the weather. Day 2 was a colorful celebration with games and music and of course delicious Indian food. This wedding photographer was one happy camper! Enjoy this sneak peek from this past weekend!

Abigail and Thomas' Shawnee Inn wedding

I had the absolute pleasure of shooting this beautiful wedding at Shawnee Inn on May 14th! Abigail and Thomas are one of those couples where even if you only spend 1 minute with them, you can tell right away that they are totally in love!  I first met them in the fall at the Shawnee Inn and we had the chance to have a beer together and chat. I knew after meeting them that I couldn't wait to shoot their wedding and celebrate their love.

The day was perfect! It was warm and the rain held out until the reception. You can't ask for much more than that for a May wedding! I'm glad I know these two and I wish them a very long and love filled marriage!

Ben and Caitlin's Philadelphia wedding

I have just been dying to share a full sneak peek from Ben and Caitlin's adorable wedding day from March!!! This was such a glorious way to start the 2016 wedding season for Stephanie and I. (Oh yeah, let me introduce you to Stephanie - she's my awesome new second photographer and we're sooooo happy to have her on board!!!! yay!) We seriously couldn't have had a better day for a March wedding. The weather was cool and crisp but sunny and gorgeous. This is one of those weddings that I left just feeling happy...Happy to have met Ben and Caitlin and happy that they chose little ole me to share in their celebration. And it certainly was a celebration!!! I found myself smiling a lot that day. Not just because I love my job, which I do, but also because their joy and love for each other was contagious. I will be delivering their gallery this week and I hope they love their photos as much as I do. Thank you guys for letting me celebrate with you - I just know that you will have a wonderful marriage filled with love and joy!

Vintage wedding published in Pretty & Inked blog

I just realized how incredibly behind I am on updating my blog =( I really try to stay up to date, but it's just been so hard lately with everything going on! My first order of exciting news is that I've been published for the very first time!!! Pretty & Inked magazine featured my work from a wedding shoot in March of 2015. When I got the email saying they accepted my piece, I couldn't believe it! Follow the link below to visit their blog and don't forget to visit and like their Facebook page.

Stitchfix #4 - I love stitch fix!

I've been having the worst time finding clothes recently - I can't even remember the last time I bought something in a store. I usually go from store to store and come out empty handed. I haven't been keeping track of my fixes so I decided to try something new and blog about it! For those of you that don't know what Stitchfix is, it's a service that sends a box of styled clothes to you for $20. You can choose how little or how much you want a fix. I usually pick once a month. And if you end up keeping the clothes, they apply the $20 styling fee to your purchase. If you buy the whole box they take 25% off! My first stitch fix was a bust. Nothing fit and I sent everything back. Every fix since then has been better and better. I really feel like the stylist does a great job with picking things out for me and I keep 2-4 things per fix!

The first thing I pulled out of the box was a bracelet. I'm pretty sure I said no jewelry since I have a ton already, so this will go back. Plus, it's not really my style. Calista Circle Cuff Bracelet $34.00 - Verdict - Return

The next item I pulled out was a dress. It looked ok, but I wasn't sure about it. It's the Florence Colorblock Dress for $68.00. I tried it on and I actually really liked it. I just don't know if or when I would wear this. Verdict - Not sure.

The next item I pulled out of the box was the Petunia V-Neck Sweater for $68.00 - Again my first impression was eh. It looked bland and like it might even be small on me. When I put it on though, the fit was good and it was cute. But for $68.00 - just not sure I like it that much. Verdict - Not sure

The next two things I LOVED! The Abriella Waffle Knit Cardigan ($48.00) and the Meryl Tulip Print Blouse ($54.00) They both fit great and are totally my style. The price is on the high side for the blouse, but I really like it! And they went together really well which is a plus. Verdict - Keep!

All in all not a bad box. I'm a little disappointed that the bracelet took the place of something that I would have actually kept, but I'll make sure to make a note for my stylist for next time.

Lincoln - NEPA Newborn photography

I met the cutest little man the other day and he stole my heart! His name is Lincoln and he was only about 6 days old and a little over 6 pounds. He was such a trooper and behaved like a perfect gentleman for our entire evening together. Although he did poop on dad right at the end. It was the first time I was lucky enough to be spared the pee or poop so I was forever grateful to Mr. Lincoln. Especially considering I still had to stop at the grocery store on my way home from his crib. Here are a couple of shots from our time together.
